Senior Software R&D Engineer, Motherboard Business Unit, AsusTek Inc., Taiwan
Feb. 2019 – Aug. 2021

  • Rewrite the ASUS Control Center Server (Golang, SQLite, SHA256, C, DLL, Node.js)
  • Develop the ASUS Control Center Web Client (AngularJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C, DLL), which constructing a web application for IT and centralized management using AngularJS, D3.js, and ag-Grid.
  • Rebuilt the Control Center Server on the ASUS motherboard, which is used by the client to access a distant database and control a distant machine, moving from Node.js to Golang to improve the processing time by 20%.

Software R&D Engineer (Full Stack Engineer), Intelligent Mobile Business Unit, AsusTek Inc., Taiwan
Dec. 2016 – Feb. 2019

  • Developed million-users applications on the ASUS Zenfone, including the following:
    • ThemeApp Content Management System (CMS) (Node.js, JavaScript, Python, JAVA, MongoDB, jade, jQuery, CSS)
      • Developed a management interface for the developer and third-party provider to upload mobile themes. Used the Akamai Content Distribution Network to provide requested themes to global users on CMS. Handled two million requests per month.
    • ThemeAppAutoApply App (JAVA, Python, ADB)
      • Optimized apk performance by 20% for the testing engineers to download all of the theme packs in once onto the mobile phone. Developed a procedure for the testing engineer (with Python scripts and Android apk) to switch the Content Distribution Network and automatically record and report when an error occurs.
    • ASUS Safeguard App & Server (JAVA, Azure, Firebase, Node.js, Google Map API, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, NoSQL)
      • Independently developed a default app from scratch to end, which was published on the Zenfone for users to make emergency calls and send real-time locations to others when encountering danger. Reported the location of API by managing sessions and tokens on the Azure server and applied Realtime Database and presented the HTML page on the Google Firebase.
  • Rewrote the CMS server from Node.js to Golang by conducting independent study and showing initiative to reduce inefficient processing time by 25%.
  • Maintained several ASUS Zenfone servers, such as the ASUS ZenUIStore Server (Azure, Node.js, MySQL), ASUS ZenFone Framework PackageManager (Java), and ASUS Analytics App (Java, Google Analytics, Google Firebase).
